17mm. Sharpness is ok

35mm. Even at the corners, sharpness is satisfying.

(Top left) In low light the camera still focuses. (Top right) At 17mm with lens hood some light from the built-in flash is blocked. (Bottom left) Without the hood there is no blocking of light even at 17mm. (Bottom right) At 35mm with flash. Metering is perfect.

At 17mm. Despite high contrast, the shadow in the front and bright light from the back, light metering works well.

The lens 17-35mm f/2.8-4 is perfect as a kit version.

Shot under direct sun light. The lens used was 17-35 f/2.8-4. Chromatic aberration is at the minimum and lens flare is almost invisible.

Focusing and metering in direct sun light is no problem.

At 300mm with Dynax 7D and Sigma 70-300 f/4-5.6. The photo is good, sharpness is satisfying and there is only a little chromatic aberration visible.

Test of the AS function

1/2 sec without AS.

1/2 sec with AS. Despite the time of 1/2 sec and wide angle 17mm, the difference when using the AS or not is visible.

On the left without the AS, on the right at 1/8 sec. The lens used was Sigma 70-300mm at 300mm.

On the left without the AS, on the right at 1/15 sec. The lens used was Sigma 70-300mm at 300mm.

On the left without the AS, on the right at 1/30 sec. The lens used was Sigma 70-300mm at 300mm.
