Pentax K10D DIWA Awards Review - English
For me personally, a quick assessment of the class the camera is in and its purpose is over in a few seconds. This goes for the Pentax K10D as well. My first impression was the following: This is an excellent camera for a demanding, advanced hobbyist. In other words, people who aren’t afraid of using a few additional settings and parameters to enhance a picture, be it during capture (exposure compensation, metering mode etc.) or during postproduction (sharpening, RAW conversion etc.). Furthermore, they want the most for their money and they’re very much aware of how good Pentax actually is. [ Obišči stran ]

Bolj sem se družil s kamero, bolj sem spoznaval, da nudi neverjetno veliko. Seveda za fotografa, ki si več nastavitev tudi želi, predvsem pa če jih zna izkoristiti. Verjamem, da bosta tudi glavna igralca v SLR svetu Canon in Nikon posnemala kar nekaj rešitev, ki nam jih je s kamero K10D, Pentax predstavil. [ Obišči stran ]

Olympus E-400 / DIWA Awards test
Olympus me je do sedaj prepričal v svoj 4/3 sistem (predvsem na račun dobrega ohišja in leta 2003 odlične konkurenčne prednosti ultrasoničnega čiščenja prahu) samo s kamero E-1. A tudi pri tej so na začetku prodaje na žalost pretiravali s ceno in se kamera ni zasidrala med zahtevnejšimi fotografi. Danes pa so (vsaj zame osebno) z E-400 našli pravo pot do fotografa, ki šele vstopa v DSLR svet, tako glede prave oblikovne ter funkcionalne rešitve.

Canon EOS 400D ( Rebel XTi ) / DIWA Awards review
Canon again showed what a camera needs to have to satisfy the customers as well as the manufacturers. The market’s response has been very positive. The customer is happy with the price/quality ratio, while the manufacturer is happy with the market share and income. It is obvious that other manufacturers haven’t yet come close to Canon when it comes to these criteria.

Nikon D80 / DIWA Awards test
Le z določenimi materiali ter funkcijami so D80 naproti D200 okrnili in s tem kameri znižali ceno. Prvi zaključek je hitro tu. Nikon D80 pokaže, da je bolj “baby” D200, kot samo zamenjava za D70s.

Canon EOS 400D / DIWA Awards test
Canon je z novo kamero zopet pokazal (trg se je že odzval pozitivno), kakšno kamero je treba dati na trg, da zadovolji kupce in samega sebe kot proizvajalca. Kupca s še zadovoljivo količino in kakovostjo tehnologije ter ceno, proizvajalca pa s tržnim deležem in možnim zaslužkom. Opaža se, da se drugi proizvajalci še niso približali Canon-u po teh dveh medsebojno pogojenih merilih.

Pentax K100D / DIWA awards test
Po mojem mnenju je danes sistem stabilizacije slike v ohišju ena izmed največjih pridobitev za hobi fotografa. Veliko bolj uporabna od višjega števila točk in drugih tehničnih podatkov. Še toliko večjo prednost K100D pa lahko vidimo, če konkurenčne kamere primerjamo med seboj glede cen.

Since 1952, Pentax provides high quality SLR cameras. They showed the first digital SLR with a then amazing resolution of 6 MP on a full-frame CCD at Photokina way back in 2000. However, the camera wasn't ready for production at the time. High production costs and a questionable number of buyers were the major reasons against mass production of such a camera. However, Pentax showed back then that they can and will produce a DSLR.

Sony’s first step was to buy the best available choice when it came to SLR bodies, which proved to be the right way to enter the DSLR market.
